Visited the Rockin Chair on a Wednesday evening after hearing the place advertised on Radio Cardiff.  Wicked little cosy place with a nice vibe and anywhere that plays real reggae gets my vote.  It's only a short walk from Cardiff city centre too.  Ordered curry goat, rice & peas, fried plantain and festival and it was tasty.  I will be going back for more and I recommend anybody looking some proper caribbean food and nice vibes to VISIT THE ROCKIN CHAIR!!!

As the Rockin Chair is based in riverside at the old Rajah's ( a dive as most Cardiffians of a certain age will recall!!)I wasn't expecting much...but the decor is lovely, lots of old wood and fab furniture pieces and fab wall paper in parts - it feels like you are in a sophisticated bar in the heart of London rather that sedate Riverside...popped in there on a Friday on the way to town and they had a Brazillian Jazz band which I'm told is a weekly event - was VERY pleasantly surprised and am currently railroading all my mates to go there...in the absence of the Soda Bar and the Cameo Club it s a wicked alternative!
